Uncle Khaled Nabhan became well known after his granddaughter was killed in an Israeli attack in Gaza in November 2023, with footage of him mourning the three-year-old girl. Uncle Khaled described his grandchild, Reem, as the "soul of my soul" as he held her lifeless body, garnering international attention during the early stages of the war. With utmost sadness, Uncle Khaled was killed during Israel's bombardment of the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza. In Islam, Uncle Khaled and Reem are martyrs and martyrs do not die. They live on. Living happily in heaven and in us. They will forever be immortal in us..
Their passing lit a fire inside and so that is why I decided to create something. Something more than just a product. It carries meaning, a story, and a purpose. I’m proud to share with you my latest creation: a hoodie designed to honor the memory of Uncle Khaled & Reem, whose life left an indelible impact on so many. This hoodie is not just a piece of clothing, but a tribute.. a way to carry their legacy forward and make a tangible difference in the world.
What makes this hoodie truly special is the cause it supports. We decided that 100% of proceeds from this hoodie will go toward funding a Surdawia, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities through projects that deliver essential humanitarian relief. ONE of these projects is the Green Energy Water Well for GAZA. Access to clean, safe water is something many of us take for granted, but for millions of people in Gaza, it’s a daily struggle. By supporting this project, you’re not only honoring Uncle Khaled & Reem's memory but also making a direct impact in the lives of people who need it most.
By purchasing this hoodie, you become a part of a bigger movement.. a movement of remembrance, compassion, and social responsibility. It’s more than just buying a hoodie; it’s about investing in a cause that can save lives and keep a memory alive.
You can order your hoodie today and wear it with pride, knowing that you're making a difference. Share it with friends, family, and anyone who cares about giving back. Together, we can make the world a little bit better, one hoodie at a time.
