Uncle Khaled Nabhan became well known after his granddaughter was killed in an Israeli attack in Gaza in November 2023, with footage of him mourning the three-year-old girl. Uncle Khaled described his grandchild, Reem, as the "soul of my soul" as he held her lifeless body, garnering international
attention during the early stages of the war. With utmost sadness, Uncle Khaled
was killed during Israel's bombardment of the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza. In
Islam, Uncle Khaled and Reem are martyrs and martyrs do not die. They live on. Living happily in heaven and in us. They will forever be immortal in us.. 

Their passing lit a fire inside and so that is why I decided to create something.
